Full Job Description

We are excited to offer this phenomenal opportunity to join our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team as Director. This role will operate as a member of the Finance team, supporting the commercial leadership team and reporting to the head of FP&A International. We need an individual who wants to experience a career in finance within a high-growth, multifaceted industry and a genuine culture passionate about positively impacting the lives of patients globally. As a Director FP&A, a typical day might include the following:

  • Attend forecasting meetings, understand ex-US revenue drivers, and forecast gross to net sales items for specific countries.
  • Convert epidemiology data into financial forecasts, enter forecasts into the system, and present them to senior management.
  • Conduct Actuals vs Forecast analysis, liaise with accounting for accurate revenue and GTN data, and work closely with internal Finance colleagues.
  • Develop long-range plans, budgets, and resource allocations for Commercial operations, and implement tools for resource planning activities.
  • Be responsible for the P&L for specified countries, track and report costs, advise ex-US business on finance matters, and ensure compliance with all standards and regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison between various departments, provide Finance support for legal entity topics, review financial data, approve purchase requisitions, and provide leadership for European business employees.

You are a proactive and analytical problem solver with the ability to identify areas of operational improvement.
  • You have the proven track record to work in a collaborative, fast paced, and at times ambiguous environment.
  • You can handle dynamic priorities optimally and bring with you a no-nonsense approach to managing a demanding workload.
  • You are very comfortable with ad hoc requests and your ability to fold those into your mix of daily responsibilities.
  • To be considered for this opportunity you must possess a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant post-qualification work experience spent in the biotech/pharma industry. Having your MBA or an accounting qualification is preferred as that foundation will aid you in getting up to speed quickly in our environment. We need someone with a strong and comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting principles and P&L statements. Previous experience in Big 4 accounting firms can be advantageous. Proficient English is a requirement, and other European languages are a plus.
