Full Job Description
The Director will lead the development and execution of Teva's Medicaid strategy for the brand and biosimilar portfolios. This individual is accountable for working with State Medicaid Accounts, Market Access Leadership, Brand Teams, Contracting Teams, Health Strategies Marketing, and Business Units to develop market access strategies to maximize profitability and success across Medicaid accounts. The Director will lead efforts to ensure Teva stakeholders are abreast of the evolving Medicaid landscape and strategies are built/adjusted accordingly. Account customer types may include; State Medicaid Programs, Pharmacy Benefit Administrator - Pools. This person must be able to successfully communicate the payer value of each brand/biosimilar and develop rebate contracts that are requested by states and contracting pools through the RFP process. The ability to successfully network and penetrate key Medicaid accounts to develop and cultivate long-term working relationships is critical. As well, the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and to lead cross-functional teams is required. The Director will provide managerial and strategic leadership for two Associate Directors and will be responsible for ensuring strategies are successfully executed and outcomes are achieved by those individuals. The Director is responsible for the development and performance of the two AD's. The Director is responsible for supporting the Teams' efforts to negotiate and execute appropriate contract terms & conditions with the accounts to ensure Teva's business objectives are met on an annual basis.How you'll spend your day
- Managerial responsibility to support Medicaid Team
- Ensure optimal Preferred Drug List (PDL) access, pull through and resource management for Medicaid business
- Work collaboratively across the Account Management and Market Access Leadership Teams
- Strong leadership cross-functionally across partner teams (Sales, Contracting, Medical, Finance, Legal)
- Customer Relationship Management & Penetration
- Partner with each Associate Director in the identification and penetration of key stakeholders including decision making and influencing network
- Develop / maintain relationships with key decision-making roles and leadership
- Ensure Medicaid Team is competent in the articulation of Teva's core assets, promotional and clinical evaluations
- Work with Payer Marketing to ensure messages and talking points are developed to support Medicaid team
- Drive contract negotiations to ensure optimum value
- Ensure appropriate financial analysis of potential contracts
- Articulation of Teva's positions throughout RFP or Contract Cycle.
- Collaborate with Regional Account Leadership to ensure pull through at State level

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 10 years pharmaceutical industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years in Market Access/Payer Account/Medicaid experience
- Sales Management, Marketing, Account Management (Trade or Managed Care), or marketing support.
- Advance Business or Pharmacy degree Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership skills Travel Requirements: Approximately 30% domestic travel throughout the US.

The annual starting salary for this position is between $180,640 and $237,090 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may also be eligible for bonus, sales target(s), and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
