Director of Children's Services

As the Director of Children's Services, you will lead and manage the delivery of high-quality social care services in line with Tameside's vision and values. Collaborating with the Chief Executive, elected members, and key partners, you will ensure services are effective, integrated, and focused on achieving the best outcomes for children and families. Key responsibilities include driving the strategic direction of Children's Services, leading the Children's Improvement Plan, fostering partnerships with local agencies, and managing resources to deliver high-quality services within budget.

We are seeking a strong leader with a proven track record in senior management roles within children's social care or similar services. You should have a relevant social work qualification, experience in managing complex organisations, and the ability to lead teams positively through change. Strong leadership skills, a focus on service improvement, and a commitment to promoting equality and delivering high-quality outcomes for children are essential.
