Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Director of Drama to lead this successful Department in our highly successful and innovative school. The successful candidate will be well-qualified, organised, energetic and ambitious. The post would suit a teacher with leadership potential or leadership experience who has excellent subject knowledge and is passionate about Drama. The successful candidate will teach across the full spectrum of age and ability ranges and have an ability to enthuse and inspire pupils, contributing keenly to the wider life of John Lyon.

John Lyon is a sought-after academically selective 3-18 co-educational independent day school, based in Harrow-on-the-Hill in North West London. Having educated boys from Harrow and surrounding areas since 1876, John Lyon welcomed its first girls as pupils in September 2021. The School has also moved from being a senior school to an all through school, following an amalgamation with Quainton Hall Prep School in 2021.

Pupils' academic standards and personal development were both rated the highest possible 'excellent' in our most recent ISI school inspections.
