Director of Excellence and Improvement

We are looking to appoint a Director of Excellence and Improvement which will take effect from 6th January 2025 on a full time basis, pay scale Soulbury 27 - 30 (+3 spa).

As the Director of Excellence and Improvement at SIL you will be the key leader responsible for the enhancement and effectiveness of educational programmes in schools. The focus will be on developing and implementing strategies for continuous improvement, providing leadership, guidance, and support to schools to achieve higher standards of academic excellence and overall school performance.

You will be directly responsible for the effective leadership and management of the excellence and improvement business area, including the safeguarding and Governance teams, Excellence and Improvement partners, as well as being responsible for the strategic leadership of an education phase (Early Years, Primary, Secondary).

• Educated to Degree level or equivalent



• Qualified Teacher Status



• Extensive school leadership experience



• A thorough understanding of effective safeguarding practice



• Excellent understanding of the current OFSTED framework



• A sound understanding of school/trust governance
