Director of Finance, Performance and Contracting

Our Finance and Performance function are based at one of our Lancaster sites, but travel between sites will be required. There may be an opportunity to work from home on an ad hoc basis., This exciting new role has been created to lead, develop and direct the Finance, Performance and Contracting function of the Practice, following an internal review of the leadership structure and wider teams. The post holder will be accountable to the Managing Partner and Partnership Board through regular reporting.

The post holder will lead and deliver all aspects in financial and accounting management of the Practice with support from the Practice accountants. The post holder will facilitate performance improvements along with ensuring appropriate contract management processes are implemented across the Practice. Across all three areas, the post holder will need to liaise with regulatory bodies, commissioners and other stakeholders in relation to commissioned services as appropriate., We need someone who is passionate about providing professional leadership which inspires, motivates and empowers our teams to deliver high quality services, along with maintaining active collaboration with health and social care partners to respond to local and national guidance and directives.

The successful candidate should be qualified to masters level or with equivalent demonstrable experience. You will have previous senior management experience along with experience in the management of Finance, Performance and Contracting. Previous NHS or General Practice experience would be beneficial, but not essential.

Lancaster Medical Practice is a large GP provider delivering General Medical Services to around 68,000 patients in Lancaster and surrounding villages. We deliver our services from seven locations throughout the city of Lancaster and its surrounding area and are continuing to develop ourselves to improve what we do for our patients, staff and the local community.

£58,548 - £65,490 per annum (full time equivalent). Actual salary will be dependent on hours per week.,
