Full Job Description

You will report directly to the Human Resources Director of Talent & Learning (UK), and you will be leading an experienced team of leadership and partner development professionals, working with several third parties, an extensive faculty, (many of whom are partners at Deloitte), and collaborating closely with Deloitte University to shape the demand plan and design of programmes delivered from our dedicated training facilities in Europe. Specifically, your role will be to:

  • Elevate the topic of leadership at Deloitte and encourage firmwide focus on the importance of leadership to achieve our objectives.
  • Build and deliver the leadership development strategy that will enable us to achieve our strategic objective of having 'Future-Ready Leaders at all Levels'.
  • Align senior stakeholders to a central strategy and narrative and deliver the change and engagement plan to operationalise the strategy.
  • Streamline the leadership tools, frameworks, and programs to deliver an impactful, simplified leadership development schema for Deloitte UK, that integrates the best quality inputs from NSE, Deloitte University, Global etc.
  • Clarify the leadership expectations of Deloitte Professionals at all levels, from Early Career to Senior Partner, ensuring coherent and congruent development pathways are in place to enable and equip people in their leadership role.
  • Elevate the position and performance of the Leadership Development and Partner Development teams to a best-in-class leadership development function, aligning with external best practice and Human Capital advisory recommendations.
  • Build our reputation as a true Centre of Expertise for leadership expertise internally and externally, contributing to our brand, EVP and client impact.
  • Ensure the leadership development agenda is aligned to our Growth strategy, building capabilities that enable both commercial success in the marketplace as well as sustainable performance impact at scale across potentially larger geographies.
  • Help set our leaders up for success to lead through change, growth and geographical evolution and expansion
  • As a senior member of the Talent and Learning Team you would also be playing a key role in the broader leadership and strategic direction of the function.

  • Your professional experience You should care about leadership and leadership development. This role should be a means for you to do what you love and make a difference. You are a senior professional with a track record of making an impact in leadership and organisational development. Essential:
  • Substantial experience of leading teams and people. It is important that you lead your team well, and role-model excellence in your approach to leadership.
  • Extensive experience of working with executive-level stakeholders in large organisations. Many of our most senior people have a keen interest in leadership and leadership development; it is important that you are comfortable in these discussions.
  • Demonstrable experience of making an impact in the sphere of leadership development.
  • Demonstrate an excellent grasp of models of leadership, leadership theory, assessment, and styles. You should be a leadership expert.
  • A proven track record of designing and implementing impactful leadership programmes, and leading teams of people designing leadership programmes.
  • Able to demonstrate innovative thinking in the design and delivery of leadership programmes.
  • Be able to facilitate, and train others in facilitation skills.

  • Experience of design and deployment of digital components of leadership programmes.
  • Experience of third-party contracting and management.
  • Experience of demand- and resource-planning.
