Full Job Description

With a population of around 252,338 were one of the most diverse Boroughs in the country, a place where you can build a rewarding career and an enjoyable life, where over a quarter of the Borough consists of open space, much of which is designated green belt or Metropolitan Open Land., Youll be our principal adviser on health matters, but just as importantly, provide strategic leadership of the continued integration of public health functions and outcomes into all aspects of our work. Youll develop and implement an innovative and comprehensive public health strategy, along with evidence-based initiatives, to address key public health challenges. Youll lead our well respected and committed Public Health team, working collaboratively with partners across the council, the NHS, and communities to deliver key outcomes and improve health and wellbeing across Harrow.

This exciting, varied and interesting role requires a person experienced in leading the agenda to improve the health and wellbeing of residents, reducing inequalities in health outcomes and protecting our residents and visitors from public health hazards.

Its important that you are a registered GMC, GDC or UK PHR public health specialist with significant experience in all aspects of public health practice.
