This is a very exciting opportunity to join our highly popular and thriving school and lead the science department in securing outstanding pupil outcomes in Science. There is also an opportunity for the right candidate to join the senior leadership team. All science specialists are welcome and encouraged to apply.

Science is a popular subject at The Hinckley School and is taught from Y7 through to Y13. The successful candidate will lead the department in securing outstanding pupil outcomes in Science, via the development of the quality of teaching and learning across the faculty through collaborative planning, curriculum development and assessment, planning and moderation. You will work with the SLT Lead being accountable for the delivery of key teaching and learning and CPD objectives as determined in negotiation with the Headteacher and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) as a whole.

We are investing heavily in our Science provision - the successful candidate will benefit from our revolutionised and extensive STEAM build, with state of the art facilities and science labs, creating a very unique and timely opportunity. With our bespoke year 7 and 8 area and refurbished sixth form, the school is truly building brighter futures.

Whether you are relatively new to leadership or have previous leadership experience, we would love to hear from you if you share our values and want to be involved in the exciting next stages at The Hinckley School. Regardless of experience the successful candidate will have the ability to think strategically, inspire, challenge and motivate others to achieve. You will work with committed colleagues passionate about improving outcomes for all students and creating a school that is aspirational and ambitious, inclusive and welcoming for all.

The role offers an opportunity to work with dedicated colleagues and professionals both in school and across The Futures Trust who commit generously of their time to train and develop colleagues.
