Full Job Description

We have created two new roles in our Senior Leadership Team; Director of Services and Evidence, and Director of Policy Influence and Public Affairs. This is a really exciting time to join us as we shape our future direction.

Director of Services and Evidence

Leading our Services & Evidence Directorate, you will be shaping our strategy to extend our reach and deliver the greatest impact. You will be responsible for inspiring the teams delivering support and information, quality improvement, and developing and delivering our research strategy. You will also build our evidence base, bringing the voice of patients into discussions with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to influence service delivery and evidence-based practices. Alongside the CEO, you will support in leading and driving the IBD UK Alliance.

We are seeking an individual with experience of managing programmes of research, evidence and insight in the voluntary, medical, health or research sectors. We are looking for a leader who brings experience of developing and delivering new services or programmes, and is able to build effective relationships with external stakeholders.

We have ambitious plans at Crohn's & Colitis UK, and our two new Directors will join a skilled Senior Leadership Team as we develop our bold new strategy and continue to raise awareness, end taboos, and ensure that everyone living with Crohn's or Colitis feels seen, heard and understood.

We are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis, the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. These are lifelong conditions for which there is no cure, and they affect more than 540,000 people in the UK.

Many people with Crohn's and Colitis are trying to navigate complex health issues alone, while struggling to access quality healthcare and support.

As a charity, we have been involved in funding exciting and ground-breaking research into Crohn's and Colitis, and we continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people who look to us for support.
