Applications are invited for the post of Director of Student Success in the Student Journey Division.
This full-time post provides an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a directorate of professional staff. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bringing Royal Holloway's new strategy, RH2030s, to life, with a particular focus on shaping inclusive education and research via the Education and Student Experience strategic action plan. They will manage teams covering Access and Success, which will be key to delivering our new Access and Participation Plan and growing our student numbers; Careers and Employability, with a focus on developing skills for choice and opportunity that boost employability and graduate outcomes; and the Academic Quality and Policy Office, ensuring we maintain the highest quality educational experience via course validation and supporting academic regulations.
We are looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about education, and student success and experience, with a track record of developing and leading teams that perform to the highest standards and provide service and support that demonstrate Royal Holloway's values - daring, innovative, open, and respectful. Given our changing student demographics, we would welcome applications from candidates who have sector experience in designing and delivering educational experiences for a diverse range of students and in global contexts, in line with our ambition to be a university of social purpose.
They will be committed to continual professional development through participation in conferences and training events as appropriate, remain curious and interested in relevant developments in the sector with particular emphasis on educational technology and AI, and share this knowledge with colleagues. The Director of Student Success will work the closely with the Executive Director of Student Journey and Pro Vice-Chancellor, Education and Student Experience, as well as other senior colleagues around the university, to ensure we are providing excellent graduate outcomes.
