Directorate Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual to join the AUH Medicine Financial Management Team within Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The role of the Directorate Accountant is to support and advise Managers and budget holders on all aspects of financial management in the provision of a comprehensive financial management service, meeting internal and external reporting requirements, in an accurate, timely, and relevant manner, enabling managers to provide an efficient and effective service within the resources available. Contributing significantly to the completion of statutory returns such as final accounts.

Support the AUH Medicine Financial Management Team and assist and deputise for the Deputy and Head of Finance for AUH Medicine., To support and advise Directors and other budget holders on all financial management matters in the provision of a comprehensive financial management service, meeting internal and external reporting requirements, in an accurate, timely and relevant manner, enabling managers to provide an efficient and effective service within the resources available. Contributing significantly to the completion of statutory returns such as final accounts, monitoring returns, the eric return and reference costs

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
