Full Job Description

  • Design, creation and management of junior medical staffing work schedules.
  • Managing rotations, vacancies and gaps ensuring safe levels of cover.
  • Authorising and processing claims for locum shifts.
  • Providing workforce and budget data to the senior management team.
  • Re-design and change management.
  • Interpretation and implementation of legislative/contract changes.

    This is a role that centres around junior medical workforce planning including the design, construction and management of the templates and operational rosters for General Internal Medicine and Acute & Emergency Medicine trainees. These directorates provide an acute medical service for the care and management of general/emergency medical patients and play a major role in the provision of the 'Hospital at Night' and 'Hospital Out of Hours' services.
  • You must be enthusiastic, highly motivated and willing to embrace and able to facilitate change. Excellent communication and time management skills are essential as are advanced I.T skills across the range of Microsoft Office applications. The successful candidate will be articulate, have strong literacy and numeracy skills and will possess relevant previous experience/skills. You'll work with a highly motivated and supportive team of senior rota co-ordinators/workforce managers to deliver an effective and accurate acute medical workforce model. Training will be extensive and thorough and you'll be supported at all times during the the training period and beyond. This team provide a vital and imperative component in the provision of the acute medical service.
