Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and driven Directorate Support Officer to provide direct support to the Head of Nursing, Quality, Patient Experience and Integrated Care. The post will also provide support to the wider directorate., Main aspects of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Administrative support for Head of Nursing, Quality, Patient Experience and Integrated Care (diary management, meetings, etc.)
  • Support to the wider directorate facilitating compliance with deadlines, targets and performance management requirements
  • Co-ordination and appropriate secretariat for regular required meetings within the directorate
  • Co-ordination of responses to requests within VCC and outside co-ordination of business cases
  • Management of the Nursing Admin team
  • Maintaining relationships with other departments by providing point of contact for the directorate

    We are seeking a skilled, reliable and highly organised individual with excellent communication, leadership and organisation skills. The post holder will need to have experience of Microsoft Office packages - World, Excel and PowerPoint; excellent word processing/typing skills; exceptional organisational abilities and the capability to work in a confidential manner are of paramount importance in this role. The ability to communicate effectively; to work well under pressure and to prioritise the demands in a busy environment are also essential.
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply., The successful candidate will have experience managing competing priorities, the ability to work autonomously but also be a great team player. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and build relationships with people across different professions both inside and outside the organisation will be critical for this role. Excellent communication skills are also a pre-requisite for this role.
