Full Job Description

To provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the ENT Directorate Team.

The range of duties may vary, to include the use of databases and PMS on a regular basis and assisting in the management of the day to day operational requirements for delivery of this service.

Being able to adapt your working style and pace, you should be able to demonstrate experience in developing and maintaining administrative processes that meet governance requirements., The successful candidate will be working directly to the senior management team, you will be a crucial point of contact, source of information and play a key support role in maintaining cross-organisational communication and scheduling. You should have a high standard of education with excellent typing and word processing skills including the use of Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will act as the Directorate officer to support the management team with the day to day operational delivery of these services to include outpatients, in patients, Theatres and management and approval of doctors and consultant leave. The candidate must have some experience dealing with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills are essential.

The work includes contact with staff, patients, Police, external agencies therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with a professional and friendly approach is required. You will have a high regard for confidentiality. With a busy workload you must be organised and a capable self-starter, able to work on your own initiative and prioritise tasks in order to cope with tight deadlines.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
