About the College/Department

Student Services at the University of Derby is committed to providing the best possible support services to our students, to enhance the student experience, to help students achieve their full potential and to meet the strategic aims of the University. These services are central to the student experience they are visible, seamless, effective and tailored to the needs of our student community. As part of this commitment, a transformational programme of work is underway in Student Services to ensure that the support we deliver not only meets the needs of our students but also enables delivery of a vision for a developmental and collaborative model of student services that supports a transformational educational experience for students.

We are excited for this next chapter in our service and welcome applicants with vision, drive and a passion for supporting student success., As Disability Services Facilitator, you will be responsible for helping to facilitate and monitor the allocated disability funding and efficiently match students with the appropriate support staff. You will work collaboratively with both the Student Support Services and Disability Services teams within Student Services to support students through the student journey.

We are looking for a highly organised and experienced individual with a background in office routines within a fast-paced, multi-function environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities and mental health issues.

Strong organisational and coordination skills, along with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively, are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as a strong understanding of the need for confidentiality in this role.
