Full Job Description
In the Department of Health and Social Care, we are proud of our purpose - to enable everyone to live more independent, healthier lives for longer. To achieve this, and create a great place to work, we have four values: we are inclusive, we constantly improve, we challenge, and we are agile. If this sounds like an environment you would like to work in, we would love to hear from you.
The Departmental Records Office (DRO) are custodians and managers of the history of the Department of Health and Social Care and more than 200 former healthcare organisations through the records they have created. We are responsible for ensuring that DHSC delivers on our obligations to manage records against the Code of Practice issued under Section 46 of the Freedom of Information Act (2000) and the Public Records Act (1958). The DRO ensures DHSC meets its legal and public accountability obligations through enabling the creation, curation and exploitation of its corporate record.
The Disclosure Senior Manager will be the dedicated discovery and disclosure specialist for the department. They will take ownership of and manage projects including litigation and arbitration matters, information access requests, statutory, regulatory, and corporate investigations from initial scope through to conclusion.
The successful applicant will develop and maintain clear methodology, process, and documentation as well as mechanisms to efficiently capture and analyse performance metrics.
Technically experienced, the successful candidate will be able to communicate complex technical concepts in clear terms for consumption by non-technical professions including policy areas and legal counsel.
The successful candidate will demonstrate confident and enthusiastic communications skills, able to support and develop their own team members and build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
This role requires an aptitude for problem solving; the successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to use their initiative to prioritise and collaborate ensuring proactive and professional communication throughout.
