Preferably, this candidate needs to be Southern based but for the right candidate we might be open to home-office based elsewhere in the UK. WHAT IS AXIS? The Distribution Account Manager (DAM) will be the commercial lead, driving and enabling ongoing profitable sales growth for Axis and the distributors and have clear accountability to meet agreed growth KPI's. This person will establish and build relationships across all levels; develop and track annual plans; set up, implement and track a complete training curriculum for all levels of role; develop the account in-line with a long-term development plan. This person will work with EMEA & Local Management teams in reviewing, revising, and expanding our distribution strategy on an annual basis. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drive the strategic growth of the distributor in-line with a development plan
- Development and tracking of annual business plans covering sales initiatives and incentives, training and activities for distributors to meet shared targets.
- Setup, implement, and track an ongoing training curriculum for all levels within distribution
- Work with Global Partners and Global End-User account organisation, to develop strategic alignment and growth plans with local distributors where relevant.
- Develop detailed business analysis and growth scenarios to support changes to the local distribution landscape.
- Provide account management for our distributors acting as their central contact daily, managing and representing all ongoing initiatives and plans with the account.
- Build-up distributor profile and annual scorecard covering strategy, organisation, supply chain capabilities, channel reach, and partner proposition.
- Drive and co-ordinate our approach in region, promoting and being an ambassador for our distributors within the local and EMEA organisation.
- Educate and update local sales teams on an ongoing basis on sales growth and the added value our distributors bring, while being an evangelist/spokesperson for distribution and our two-tier approach across the business
We are looking for a driven and customer-oriented sales professional with strong business acumen and commitment to a channel sales model. You need to be experienced in distribution business management, leveraging strategic decision making and problem solving to drive organisation growth and success. You also need to be self-assured in your ability for decision making, and not afraid to act firmly and present yourself whenever a decision is made. You'll be comfortable working in a matrix-environment, with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, many times at a leadership and senior management level, while taking on the responsibility to meet agreed sales KPI's. Apart from this, we'd love to see that you have/are: - 5+ years of experience in a similar sales role
- 2+ years of experience working within a distribution landscape
- Demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills
- An excellent communicator and presenter with high interpersonal skills
- Experience from the Security or IT industry is a big advantage
- Driven, proactive, and self-motivated team player
- Ability to work and collaborate in a multicultural and crossfunctional organisation
- Good organizational skills, and able to handle multiple priorities
- Strong focus on relationship management, able to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
