We're expanding our Supply Chain team with a newly created role to analyse and optimise the flow of goods through the warehouse and distribution network, improving inventory management, tracking performance metrics and identifying efficiences. But we are ambitious and focused on continuing our growth trajectory with some exciting plans.This 'newly created' role is based within our Middlewich Distribution Centre. It is a hybrid working role requiring at least 3 office days per week, and flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week. This full time role is 37.5 hours per week.

A full job description is available on request, but to outline your key responsiblilities as a 'Distribution Centre Analyst', you'll be:

Monitor 3PL to maintain accurate inventory levels through regular product counts and reconciliation.
Provide insights and recommendations for supply chain planning, including supplier performance
Collaborate with commercial teams and the Head of Supply to ensure optimal stock levels whilst minimizing holding costs.
Review cross dock opportunities and explore the practicality with the commercial function.
Work with 3PL provider to optimise performance, highlighting areas of focus and concern.
Daily order optimisation ensuring volumes are in line with requirements.
Support contact for stores and commercial teams on DC related issues.
Be responsible for the daily planning intake into the warehouse, work with suppliers to improve accuracy
Maximise product efficiency through the DC
Maintaining metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Work closely with the operations, commercial and logistics teams to ensure smooth and cost effective supply chain operations
Identify inefficiencies in warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing and shipping and recommend solutions for improvement
Assist in troubleshooting system related issues that affect warehouse operations
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in warehouse and supply chain management

Success in the role will be measured by the following KPI's:

Forecast vs pick accuracy
Declaration accuracy
New Store stock availability

Experience of the day to day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, order picking and shipping as well as familiarity with warehouse management systems and supporting technologies
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large data sets, using your advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Understanding of key supply chain metrics and operational performance indicators
Able to implement and optimize efficient processes to meet and exceed operational targets including accuracy and timeliness
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Highly organised, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Experience in leading and inspiring diverse teams of warehouse colleagues to ensure a high level of productivity and job satisfaction
Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
Effective communication and interpersonal talents with the ability to foster a positive work environment that promotes collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Ability to identify and promote corporate social responsibility opportunities to the operations team
