You should be able to demonstrate excellent Leadership Skills. Maintain effective communication. Promote lifelong learning amongst staff. The successful candidate will perform holistic assessments of patient nursing needs. Plan, assess, implement and evaluate care delivery according to changing health needs utilising prescribing skills. Delegate the workload to appropriate team members. Day to day responsibility for the designated caseload. To provide line manager responsibility. Support the organisations public health agenda. Identify any limitations/gaps in professional or clinical knowledge. Facilitate the placement of pre and post registration nursing students. Support the development of the nursing team by teaching and assessing other member of the team including nursing auxiliaries. Teaching of patients/carers and other professionals to support patients to maintain their optimum level of independence.
