Full Job Description

Strategy & Leadership Lead and manage the division to deliver to deliver Best In class standards in our autocentres, Fast and Friendly service ensuring we provide our customers with a high quality experience across all our services.

  • Lead delivery of the strategy, performance, and improvement for the Autocentres and division.
  • Lead the development of the regional management team and Centre managers
  • understand the make-up and nuances of the geographical area, ensuring we have the right proposition for our customer and colleague.
  • Be the champion and voice of the centres, challenging and channelling the feedback to improve the experience for our customer
  • Lead on building investment cases for new locations and equipment
  • Role model and champion the Halford Values and leadership behaviours and champion the teams to act in the same way
  • Work with or Key fleet customers to grow our B2B channel
  • Commercial performance
  • Manage the commercial performance of the Centre within the division through leadership team, to deliver effective net profit performance and cost control across all lines of control.
  • Centre Operations
  • Contribute to the definition, simplification and cost effectiveness of operational methods in conjunction with central operations.
  • Ensure that priority change programs are flawlessly delivered and embedded throughout the areas and Centres, resulting in effective implementation and benefits realisation for the long term.
  • Support the format development of the property function in determining the optimal portfolio of centres to deliver cost effective reach to existing and potential new customers.
  • Work with health and safety colleagues to ensure total quality on our vehicles and robust stock controls
  • People and Talent
  • Create a performance culture, building high performing and ambitious teams that deliver objectives consistently whilst maintaining colleague engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with HAC, retail, Support Centre and Senior Leadership Teams
  • Ensure that the centre teams are motivated, trained and engaged
  • Actively spot local talent, internally and externally and ensure that individuals are given appropriate development opportunities
  • Role Model a personal growth mindset

    Extensive leadership experience in across large teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experienced with budget management and financial planning
  • Ability to lead, engage and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of industry trends and market conditions with an ability to adapt and flex accordingly
  • Degree or equivalent in business or marketing related field preferred
