Are you a passionate and experienced senior clinical nurse looking for a new and exciting challenge? Look no further! We are recruiting for the role of Divisional Director of Nursing for Medicine at our Trust, and we are seeking a dynamic and skilled individual to join our team.
As the Divisional Director of Nursing for Medicine, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of clinical services as a member of the triumvirate. With direct accountability for the leadership of nursing colleagues, you will also lead on quality governance (with the Divisional Director of Medicine), patient experience, vulnerable people, infection prevention and control, and nursing workforce and education. Therefore, you will need to possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and a proven track record of managing complex budgets and delivering key quality and access standards.

Join our team and help us positively impact the lives of our patients and staff., + To be responsible for the effectiveness of professional leadership and development of nursing within the division and other allocated areas in order to facilitate the delivery of excellent clinical practice. The post holder is a standing member of the Trust Management Executive (TME).
+ To assist the Chief Nurse and other members of the Executive team with a range of strategic and operational activities in relation to the nursing workforce and its roles, behaviour and structure in order to ensure that safe and high-quality patient care is provided consistently and improved across the Trust in line with Trust objectives and requirements.
+ To ensure that the fundamentals of care are delivered effectively within own allocated division and departments and that competence in clinical practice is both developed and maintained in order to maximise the patient experience, safety and quality of service.
+ To provide clinical and professional advice to the Executive team and on a day-to-day basis to senior managers within the Trust as required.
+ To assist the Chief Nurse in implementing the corporate nursing agenda, taking a specific strategic lead where requested via the allocated corporate component of the role.
+ To participate in the senior nurse rota and deputise for the Chief Nurse internally and
externally.
