Full Job Description
The Divisional Director of Operations is jointly accountable for the operational delivery of the Division alongside the Divisional Director, the Chief operating Officer. The Key aspects required from this role are to provide leadership, drive, and direction to ensure that the Division sets and achieves its ambitious goals.
The successful candidate will lead staff to develop, deliver, and improve services within the Division, ensuring the local and national targets are achieved by delivering the best quality patient care and experience within financial control and targets.
The position will ensure that the Division's focus on delivery and performance targets, effective people and financial management, and a culture of continuous improvement are embedded into everyday practice.

We have an opportunity for you to join our team as the Divisional Director of Operations in Surgery. This role has responsibility for the effective operational delivery of services within the Division. The role is a key leadership position in the Division, overseeing the core delivery of performance and managing the Divisional escalation and mitigation practices.
Who are we looking for:Pragmatic, positive and persuasive, you will be adept at dealing with conflicting agendas and the challenging decisions that the division is often faced with.You'll need to have significant experience of working in a senior leadership role in the NHS to fully understand the complex the agenda that we work in.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to have exceptional communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.We'd also like someone who can introduce and support new ways of working to drive forward our ambition to improve the way services are delivered to our patients. We are a very close knit team and the three clinical divisions work closely together and are extremely supportive of each other.
