We are seeking a passionate, inspired leader to thrive and drive improvements within our paediatric services. The Divisional Director for Paediatric Critical Care, Anaesthetics & Complex Medicine at RMCH MCS is a demanding but extremely rewarding role. We are looking for an individual with the tenacity and determination to succeed at every level.
As Divisional Director, you will role model a compassionate style of leadership which promotes empowerment and ensures that decision-making is at appropriate levels.
Using your management expertise, you will support the Director of Operations, working closely with the senior divisional leadership team, to achieve national operational performance targets, good financial and activity management, whilst keeping a focus on continual improvement and quality of care within the services we offer. Furthermore, you will provide a positive contribution to the provision of health services across MFT and the local health and social care economy.
You will work in partnership with the RMCH Senior Leadership Team, Divisional Senior Leadership Team and partners across GM, Northwest, the Children's Hospital Alliance and NHSE, to deliver our ambitious strategic plans and objectives., The Divisional Director is responsible to the Director of Operations for the direct delivery of all patient services within the Paediatric Critical Care, Anaesthetics & Complex Medicine Division, based within the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. This involves ensuring that all operational performance targets, including waiting lists, finance, the quality of services to patients and improving services towards best practice standards within available income are achieved.
The Division of Paediatric Critical Care comprises of three Directorates, Paediatric Critical Care & Anaesthetics and Complex Medicine, which includes Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Leukaemia, Oncology & Haematology Services.
The postholder will work closely with the Division's Clinical Director and Lead Nurse, Human Resources and Finance leads under the direction of the Director of Operations and advice and support from the other RMCH Senior Leadership Directors, to achieve the MFT/RMCH strategic aims and objectives.
