Our four Divisional Lead Pharmacists together with their directorate leads form the leadership team for the OUH Clinical Pharmacy Service. Reporting to the Associate Director of Pharmacy (Clinical Services), they play a key role in delivering the Pharmacy and Sterile Services Directorate's vision by engaging their own teams and their wider divisional team to deliver our goals and objectives. You will be responsible for pharmacy services to our Surgery, Women's and Oncology Division, which consists of the following Directorates; Oncology & Haematology, Surgery, Renal Transplant & Urology, Gastroenterology, Endoscopy & Theatres, Maternity and Gynaecology., The Divisional Lead Pharmacists act as role models in terms of Trust values and behaviours as well as clinical expertise. The post-holder will lead and manage, the delivery of an exemplary clinical pharmacy service to their division, in accordance with national standards and strategy., This role maintains a key relationship between their division and the pharmacy directorate to ensure excellent medicine management and the delivery of patient focussed medicines optimisation. The divisional lead is an integral member of the divisional management team, providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and taking responsibility for ensuring medicines management and pharmacy services are considered and and any risks mitigated in all developments within the division. The post-holder will need to balance the demands of human resource management, medicines governance and safety, antimicrobial stewardship and cost-effective use of medicines and resources., The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
