Full Job Description

An opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced individual with a clinical background has arisen to lead and have overall responsibility for the Operational Management for Hospital Operation Services within Morriston Service Group.

You must be a person who is capable of leading, inspiring and developing the patient flow and complex discharge workforces to continuously drive standards of patient flow and discharge, ensuring there is a patient centred approach that is safe and effective.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and assurance of emergency preparedness, resilience and response, engaging with a range of key stakeholders to maintain and enhance the emergency preparedness, resilience and response capability of Morriston Service Group and ensure effective oversight of the work, this includes working with internal business continuity planning across the Service Group.

This post will be advertised as a Band 8C, however applicants who do not currently hold all the necessary competencies to a Band 8C level will be encouraged to apply and, if successful, will be appointed under Annex 21 rules - Under Agenda For Change arrangements for Pay and Banding of Trainees, you will be paid 75% of the current maximum of a Band 8C salary scale., You will provide both day to day operational leadership and management for Hospital Operations, working collaboratively with the Divisional teams, you will provide assurance that robust systems for site and patient flow are in place and that quality patient led services are delivered consistently.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
