Full Job Description
We are looking for a talented Documentation Controller to join our team specializing in Engineering for Cummins Generator Technologies Limited in Stamford, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Working Hours / Hybrid work expectation: Monday to Thursday : 8:30 - 17:00hrs with a lunch break of 45mins. Friday : 8:30 - 15:30hrs with a lunch break of 30mins. Flexi-time is allowed once the employee signs up for it but should work during the core hours between Monday to Friday. Hybrid work expectation - 3days/week for the first 6 months and then 2days/week post the 6 months in the office / onsite at Stamford. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- System Support and Maintenance: By providing robust support for Oracle and Product Configurator applications, you'll ensure these systems run smoothly and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
- User Assistance: You'll assist users with any issues or queries related to the software, enhancing their productivity and ensuring they can effectively use the tools.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Your expertise will be crucial in diagnosing and resolving technical issues quickly, reducing disruptions to the workflow.
- System Optimization: By identifying opportunities for improvements within the software, you'll help optimize system performance and user experience.
- Training and Education: Providing training sessions and resources for users will empower them to utilize the software more effectively, leading to better overall outcomes.
- Implementing Updates and Upgrades: You'll manage and implement software updates and upgrades, ensuring the system remains current and secure.
- Collaboration with IT and Development Teams: Working closely with IT and development teams, you'll help integrate new features and functionalities that align with business needs.
- Data Management and Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within the software systems will be a key part of your role, supporting reliable decision-making processes.
Technical Expertise: A strong understanding of Product Configurator, including implementing design changes, maintaining alignment with engineering options and ensuring error-free PLM interfaces. Proficient in use of Windchill, Oracle, Product Configurator and Microsoft Office - Attention to Detail: The ability to meticulously review CN's/CA's, maintain item revisions and set effectivity dates in the ERP system (when required), ensuring accuracy and compliance with department procedures.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The capability to provide SME guidance, support for PLM interface issues, and assist Product Engineers with evaluating new CR's, ensuring smooth project milestones.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: A proactive approach to creating engineering tools that increase efficiency and accuracy and supporting continuous improvement initiatives., College, University, or equivalent degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology required
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in documentation and control, engineering discipline or related field.
