Full Job Description

The DoLS & Safeguarding Team Manager manages a county wide team ensuring that
statutory duties are undertaken in line with legislative responsibilities. Managing the
performance of the team, ensuring processes are efficient and proactive, liaising with
colleagues and other agencies to ensure we are delivering the best service to the
residents of Shropshire.

You will need excellent working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Care Act
other relevant legislations. You will have prior experience of managing a statutory
service or demonstrate the ability to do so. You will be motivated to ensure excellent
performance and contribute to development of services to improve on performance
delivery. You will have excellent leadership skills and ability to work with partner
agencies to improve the knowledge, education and understanding of DoLS and
Safeguarding.

    paid as a consolidated, permanent addition on all NJC pay points 2 to 43

    2. With effect from 1 April 2024, an increase of 2.50% on all pay points (pro rata
    for part-time staff) above SCP 43, those on Band 14 and 15.
    3. With effect from 1 April 2024 an increase of 2.50% on allowances.
