Full Job Description

Full Time (37 hours) Temporary Post until 31.03.2025 (this may be extended subject to continuation of funding). Consideration will also be given to a Secondment - applicants must get their management approval before applying.

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to work as part of the Wakefield District Domestic Abuse Service to deliver and coordinate the Sanctuary Scheme provision. This will involve working within clearly defined time frames in order to coordinate a package of measures to support domestic abuse victims to remain safely in their own home and prevent further incidents of domestic abuse.

The post holder will be able to provide a holistic approach to the Sanctuary Scheme Assessment and ongoing support for domestic abuse victims to remain in their own accommodation.

We are seeking a candidate to develop and support pathways for victim advocacy in safe accommodation and identify local pathways to access ongoing support, including peer support groups.

The post holder will work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC, CYPS and local partnership responses to domestic abuse.

This post holder will require confirmation of suitability to work within a Police Station via the Police vetting process.
