Domestic Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Domestic Assistant to join our team at Sutherlands. As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards within our care home, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Hours worked will be on a shift basis 5 days per week from 2 - 8pm (with some flexibility if required), working every other weekend as rostered.,

• Ensuring all areas of the homes communal space and residents' rooms are cleaned to a high standard.


• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors.


• Dust and wipe down surfaces.


• Empty rubbish receptacles and replace liners.


• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety protocols.


• Adhere to specific cleaning schedules and instructions.


• Must be flexible in other duties e.g. laundry or kitchen.


• Ensure that you report any defects to the Head of housekeeping
  
  Previous experience in cleaning is preferred.


• Knowledge of floor care techniques.


• Familiarity with using cleaning equipment and supplies.


• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


• Strong time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.


• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.
