Domestic Assistant

Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust are currently recruiting for a 6 months fix -term Domestic Assistant based at Leigh Infirmary The post will be working 17.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 16.30 - 20.00, The post holder is responsible for carrying out specific cleaning and other related duties, following set procedure and standards to provide and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital and designated wards or departments.

To perform domestic duties including:

• General cleaning.


• Isolation cleaning.


• High and low dusting.


• Wet and dry mopping.


• Clean toilets, baths and washbasins.


• Emptying clinical and general waste bins and placing bags in designated areas.


• Vacuum Cleaning.


• Scrubbing and buffing floors with mechanical machine.


• Carpet shampooing.


• Using chemicals and cleaning equipment responsibly and within health and safety guidelines.


• Maintaining staff and public safety through appropriate use of warning signage whilst cleaning.
