Full Job Description
Residential Services at the University of Southampton offer accommodation to over 6000 students. In order to enhance and maintain the service offered to our diverse customers, we are recruiting for a domestic assistant position in Southampton.
The role will involve working individually or as a member of a team to deliver the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are kept in a safe, clean and hygienic condition. Some of the duties will include kitchen cleaning, sweeping, vacuuming and dusting. You should also be willing to undertake some manual handling, bending and reaching as part of your normal duties.
The successful candidate will have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work and enjoy working as part of a diverse and dynamic team. The post available is for 36 hours per week Monday to Friday (09:00 - 16:30). Some weekend working will be required in the summer for open days, student arrivals and departure periods.
The University currently provides a non-contractual supplement to roles at this level to bring them in line with the Living Wage rate.
