Full Job Description

The successful candidate will supervise the Domestic Services cleaning team, training and developing direct reports to ensure that they are supported to deliver a high-quality service. Other duties include reviewing staff structures, the recruitment and selection of the team and conducting service and Health and Safety audits to ensure the department remains compliant to university policies and associated legislation., This post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager with excellent management skills to manage internal resources and third-party providers undertaking cleaning operations, building attendance services, reception services and a range of cleaning activities in all academic and administrative buildings across our U.K campus., Candidates should hold an HNC/D in a relevant subject or have an equivalent qualification plus relevant formal training with experience in a similar or related role or have a proven record of extensive relevant work experience demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge in a Domestic Services environment. It is also essential that you have proven experience of managing, motivating, engaging, recognising, empowering, and communicating effectively with large complex teams. Due to the frequency with which candidates will be required to drive around and between University sites a valid driving licence is essential for this post., Disability Confident
