Full Job Description

Based in the RVI, the post holder will provide supervisory support to all domestic and linen room staff. The post holder will be responsible for providing supervisory cover to the hotel services domestic team, to be responsible for the supervision of cleaning methods and frequencies in designated areas of the hospital, ensuring that the required standards are achieved in line with Infection Control and national standards. The post holder will also be responsible for carrying out audits, and ensuring any further actions required are undertaken.
To Supervise domestic assistants, linen room assistants and linen room porters as well as train on specific machinery, correct cleaning methods and ensure mandatory training is kept up to date.
Carry out appraisals within a timely manner and help to action any further development plans.
Flexibility in the role is a must due to business demands, as this role is to cover holidays and sickness over all shifts. This will include dayshift, evening shift and nightshift over seven days a week on a roster basis., + To be responsible for the supervision of cleaning methods and frequencies in a designated area of the hospital, ensuring that the required standards are achieved.
+ To supervise the domestic assistants, linen room assistants and linen room porters to ensure that their duties are carried out safely and using correct procedures and materials at frequencies laid down in the specification of work.
+ Also the training of domestics to use machinery and the correct methods of cleaning.
+ To ensure timely completion of PLB/appraisals for domestic staff.
+ To ensure all mandatory training is completed on time.
+ To adhere to the civility charter and display good practice.

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate excellent communication, time management skills and be able to motivate large staffing groups.
