Full Job Description
The Domestic Team play a huge role within Ty Coch, as they ensure that bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas are kept clean and tidy for our residents. The Domestic Team Leader will manage motive a team of domestic and laundry staff, organising their rotas to ensure the home always has adequate cover, carry out staff supervisions and appraisals and be responsible for the ordering of cleaning materials. You will undertake audits to ensure we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and take the appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for our residents and staff, which will include infection control.
The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their objectives.
If you like keeping busy and have an eye for detail, this is the role for you! We'll give you the key to our cupboard full of cleaning tricks - plus all the training you need, so you know what products to use, where and when., Organised - you will be required to prioritise your tasks and manage you team, organise rotas, audits, and supervisions.
- Communication - you'll work closely with the Nursing Home manager, domestic and kitchen assistants as well as the tenants and their families, so it is important that you are friendly, approachable, and welcoming.
- Health and Safety awareness - we offer full training to make sure you know the risks, hazards, and safest way to work, but a basic understanding of health and safety in this role or willingness to learn is needed - getting the job done safely is key.
- Team player - you'll be working in a busy team so you should be able to work alongside others well, but also use your own initiative to work alone when required too.
- Great customer service - as well communication skills, you should be able to provide excellent customer service. Our residents are our customer, so we are looking for someone who can go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service.
- Leadership - possess strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their goals. Be proficient at managing a team, particularly in areas such as rota planning,maintain supplies inventory and equipment and manage a budget whilecontrolling cost.
