Following on from an extensive induction and training programme in which you will learn valuable skills and gain an in-depth knowledge of the high blood donation standards that we uphold, you will have the rewarding opportunity to help us secure enough blood donations for all hospitals. Comfortable working with people at all levels and from all walks of life, well expect you to provide clear and accurate advice to donors on whether or not they can donate blood. Using our Donor Selection
Guidelines, you will determine whether their medical conditions affect their ability to donate, and you will maintain an insightful database of information that potential donors may find useful. As you will be answering queries both over the phone and via email that have been referred on by our main call-centre, you will use your knockout communication skills to keep donors enthused about the life-saving impact of their potential gift., You will be joining a small and busy team whose main objectives are to provide clear and accurate advice to blood donors on their eligibility to donate. Your responsibilities will include :- Acting as a second point of call for our main call-centre, and you will provide a secondary level of advice and assistance either over the telephone or by email. Answering questions from donors regarding medical conditions to assess eligibility to donate blood using the Donor Selection Guidelines. Updating and maintaining a database of information for blood donors. Handling queries in a timely manner, recognising when to refer on to team colleagues Your standard working hours will be 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. You may occasionally be required to work evenings until 6 pm and weekends from 8 am to 15.30, on a rota basis and with prior notice
