Full Job Description

I am a gentleman in my 50s living in the Cilfrew area with my pet dog. I love music, especially country rock. I enjoy all sports, films and I'm an animal lover. I have a very good sense of humour. I worked for many years in industry and I'm now a keen woodworker and make my own furniture. I also make a lot of items from resin. I have Parkinson's which affects my mobility. I have Dystonia which causes my limbs to lock up. I am looking for a COVER Personal Assistant to support me with massaging the muscles in the afternoon when the Dystonia affects me, sitting with me and keeping me company.

Purpose
Helping me manage my Dystonia i.e. massaging the affected muscles
Any other reasonable duties.
Person Type
A person who

Is punctual, reliable and caring
Someone who is responsible and practical
Someone who can work on their own initiative
Someone who can work flexibly
Someone comfortable working with me in a discrete and professional manner
Someone with some experience of supporting people with Parkinson's would be an advantage
Car driver would be an advantage but is not essential.

This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then it is compulsory for you to have a DBS check prior to commencement.

If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.

Wages will be paid on a 4 weekly or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance (NI) number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement.

You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. You will also be issued with a Personal Assistants Handbook when your employment commences.

You will be expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
