Full Job Description

I am a 90 year old lady who has been recently diagnosed with dementia. I live within the Briton Ferry area, with my husband who is 90 years old and is as active as possible although he can struggle with limited mobility. My husband is my main carer and he does as much as he can to support me. I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant, primarily to be able to gain trust and encourage me to maintain a good level of personal hygiene as I can become forgetful at times. My husband enjoys watching 'Old Westerns', 'pottering in the garden', and he did like going for short trips in the car but no longer drives. My husband will be at home at times however when he does meet with family and friends within the community I would like the PA to sit with me when he goes out for a few hours break, this will enable me to gain confidence and build trust with you.

There are times when I am alone in the house and I would like a personal assistant to ensure I can remain safe during these times when my husband does go out and to relieve him from his caring duties. I love chatting, singing and watching TV. I am a proud woman who has been described by my family as being extremely smart and proud of my appearance. However my mobility has waned and I get confused from my diagnosis of dementia. I am hoping to find the right PA to be able to develop a relationship with in the hope that I will then trust the Pa to support myself with personal care aspects.
