Full Job Description

· Responsible and accountable for the delivery of all Level 4 and Level 5 design activities (including requirement production) required in order to deliver their product(s)
· Accountable for timely delivery of milestones as per the Delivery Stream scope

· Responsible for planning the delivery of scope (correct activities in the right order)

· Responsible for defining resource & SQEP demand (current and future) required to discharge delivery of planned work

· Responsible for the management and resolution of localised engineering issues - defects / key issues / other

· Responsible and Accountable for the setting of relevant sprint goals

· Responsible for managing the delivered product against a specified / agreed AVC baseline

· Accountable for the quality of the delivered product against project standards, The AVC Functional Software team is responsible for developing key software for the Dreadnought submarine's Active Vehicle Control System. The team is split into multiple delivery streams, each focused on different product functionalities that support the build and testing of the submarine. As an engineering manager, you will lead one of these streams, overseeing task definition and allocation, while collaborating with project managers, engineers, and Scrum Masters to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality software.

· Degree in a STEM subject, relevant engineering and team leadership experience

· Demonstrated ability to manage a multi skilled, multi-domain team to deliver complex and integrated software products using agile tools and techniques

· Understanding and experience of working within a large organisation to navigate and leverage existing processes to achieve desired outcomes

· Strong organisational and communication skills. Good people skills
