CHoICE Facilities Services are seeking a passionate, hardworking and reliable individual to join our team and fulfil the role of a Driver The role of a Driver is an exciting opportunity for people who are motivated, flexible, task focused and who have excellent communications skills. As a Driver you would be responsible for driving Choice Facilities vehicles, including the shuttle bus service, for the collection, transportation and delivery of staff, patients, equipment and other goods. You will also be responsible for daily checks and maintenance of the vehicles in your care and working on transport helpdesk to cover absences. To deliver a wide range of high quality, effective and compliant Facilities Management (FM), Procurement and Pharmacy Services., The post is 40 hours per week, covering shifts Monday to Sunday 7.00am to 8.00pm. The post holder will need to hold a full UK Driving Licence 4.You must also hold a C1 and D1 licence and driver qualification Card (CPC) or be willing to undertake these once employed. You will also be required to have basic computer/keyboard skills and a knowledge of software systems. You must be flexible in the hours you can Responsible for driving Choice Facilities vehicles, including the shuttle bus service, for the collection, transportation and delivery of staff, patients, equipment and other goods. You will also be responsible for daily checks and maintenance of the vehicles in your care and working on transport helpdesk to cover absences. You will be required to undertake manual handling tasks as well as have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff. General Duties of a Driver role include;
- Using Radios and mobile phone equipment to carry out duties
- Using computers to carry out online training
- Answering telephone at helpdesk and responding to customer enquiries
- Driving Choice Facilities vehicles, including the shuttle bus service.
- Collecting, transportation and delivery of staff, patients, equipment and other goods
- Daily checks and maintenance of the vehicles in your care CHoICE Transport Services are provided at across all NHS sites throughout South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust
