Full Job Description
To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled product and invoices to the customer within the corporate guidelines.,
- To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
- To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
- To report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
- To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
- To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
- To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- To check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
- To collect goods returned for credit, delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.
- Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
- To maintain a smart appearance at all times.
- To help maintain good customer relations.
- To be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.

- Constant interaction with external customers
- Regular liaison with other drivers and members of the transport team Level of Decision Making:
- Required to act on own initiative and work unsupervised
- Required to monitor the condition of own vehicle and report and damages or faults
- Serious faults or damages may result in the driver making the decision the vehicle is not roadworthy
A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven - For insurance purposes, all drivers must be over 21 years of age
- Existing employees must update fleet services accordingly with any changes to their license status e.g. points on their license, driving bans etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent Customer care
- Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy Desirable
- Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable
- Route planning experience MANUAL HANDLING It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are "essential requirements" of this role.
