Driver - Level 4

We have an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to progress to become a transport manager in a progressive 4-year time frame. The candidate will start off as a driver/driver trainer supporting the business in deliveries and training our Widnes driver team. They will support the transport manager daily and elevate to cover the transport manager when on leave or away from site. This progressive role will see the candidate obtain their transport manager CPC, learn all the internal systems, processes and procedures, and eventually take over as the site transport manager. Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Driver - Must be willing to drive all vehicles on our fleet to complete various duties.
• Driving is the main part of this role and must be willing to cover any route in any vehicle at a moment's notice.
• Pump Over Trained (Low Pressure Discharge) - Must be willing to complete Pump Over deliveries into customer's tanks.
• Pump Over Trainer (Low Pressure Discharge) - You will be supporting our new recruits and training them to become professional and safe drivers who complete Pump Overs to our customers tanks. You may be required to 'sign off' other sites Pump Over drivers within this part of the role.
• Driver Support - Supporting our team daily on delivery routes, questions about customer locations, supporting with the use of all vehicle equipment.
• Driver Champion - This will include becoming a 'driver voice' at the frequent 'Driver Champion' meetings. This is where innovative ideas, better ways of working, alternative working methods and ways we can support our front-line teams better are discussed. These meetings will be held with the Transport Management team and other Driver Champions from other sites.
• Driver co-ordinator - Being on-site in the morning and holding the relationship with Warehouse and Administration teams to support drives in resolving any issues or concerns before leaving. You will also work more closely with our Regional Transport Mangers in retaining our 'On Time in Full' delivery metric above the required level.
