Join Badby Park in Daventry as a Driver & Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well- presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, driving staff and service users to local destinations, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant you will be:
- Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose
- Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.
- Assisting in regular checks and maintenance.
- Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.
- Assisting in all decorating.
- Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.
- Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks.
- To ensure vehicles are kept clean internally and externally.
- Take control of the routine maintenance of the vehicle
- Keeping vehicle clean and carrying out any required checks weekly.
- Delivery of high standards of Customer Service
- Maintaining the perimeter fencing around boundaries
- Maintaining the grounds including, grass cutting, weeding, hedges, flower beds.
Hold a UK drivers license - Have previous experience within a maintenance role.
- To work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.
- Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
You will be working alongside the clinical teams at Badby Park to care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, where you will deliver person-centred care where each individual is at the heart of everything you do. This specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service which boasts extensive facilities that cater for specific needs of the residents that is set in acres of stunning countryside on the outskirts of Daventry.
