Full Job Description
To ensure all driving assessments are carried out for new and existing HGV Drivers and to monitor, manage and report to the business.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual driving assessments on all drivers across the south. (Depots: Rochester, Ashford, Ham Hill, Camberley, Goddards Green, Harestock)
- Conduct driving assessments following RTA
- Conduct driving assessments as instructed by Compliance team
- Completing driver standards assessment forms, following a full assessment and identify any poor driving standards with corrective measures. Update fleet compliance team accordingly
- Conduct induction week assessments and deliver presentations on: Meet & Greet, PPE, Site Visit, Drug and Alcohol Testing, Vehicle Elements - Sloshing Liquids, Wheel security and fuel card, VPR practical and debrief, Logbook activity, Driving License Burere completion and Safe Vehicle Operations
- Assist with Drug & Alcohol testing across all departments
- Maintain accurate paperwork for assessments and training
- Complete weekly timesheet to record 50 hours working week
- Attend Driving Assessment meetings.
Able to use computer and tablet to provide reports. Knowledgeable in Microsoft packages - Good communication and observation skills
- Qualified to recognised Driving Assessor standard (essential)
- Able to work with a minimum of supervision and to receive instructions remotely
- HGV Class 2 (essential) HGV Class 1 (desirable)
- Trained to administer Drug and Alcohol testing
- Ability to work under pressure and assess all aspects of workload in a methodical manner
- Must have the ability to take on responsibility of working within very controlled guidelines and environmental regulations.
