As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love of design, creativity, and practical skills.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and inspire students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Design and Technology department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Design and Technology curriculum.
  • Experience teaching a range of Design and Technology specialisms (e.g., resistant materials, textiles, product design, graphics)., Possesses excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Design and Technology.
  • Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Is committed to fostering students' creativity, problem-solving skills, and practical abilities.
  • Exhibits excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is a collaborative team player with a passion for education.
