Full Job Description

This is a 4-month contract opportunity. As an Audio Engineer you are a crucial part of VSI's Audio Team and work in one of our London based recording studios, where you will be working on a varied array of audio projects. As a junior team member of the audio team, we would train you to excel in all our in-house tasks, delivering the dubs and mixes of films and series to the highest quality.

Your duties will include, but are not restricted to:

  • Protools editing, voice recording and mixing of English and foreign versions for a wide range of major clients in various formats (Mono/Stereo/5.1/7.1)

  • Record, mix and deliver Dubbing, Voice Over and Audio Description projects in various formats for major clients.

  • Follow broadcast mixing specs of R128/ITU-R BS 1770-4

  • Handling all Technical aspects of the recording and mixing dialogue

  • Setting up the studios and session preparation

  • Assisting the senior sound and IHP

  • Carrying out full technical QC of outbound material prior to client delivery

    Proven experience with Avid Protools Ultimate and video, in a professional MAC environment

  • Experience recording talent and running sessions highly desired

  • Keen and eager with a 'can-do' approach

  • Self-motivated with great time management

  • Flexible approach to working hours

  • Genuine Interest in technical media

  • Languages are an advantage

  • Good communicator and team worker
