Full Job Description

General

  • Manage a team of casual staff in Courtyard Bar & Kitchen and occasionally in the theatre.

  • Work with the Courtyard Manager to always ensure the smooth running of the Courtyard

  • Assist with the production of daily staff rotas for the Courtyard

  • Assist with cashing up all Courtyard floats daily and to provide reports to the General Manager and finance office as required

  • Always ensure the comfort and safety of customers, deal with customer queries and complaints both in person and on email/over the phone.

  • Ensure regular staff training sessions and updating the staff manual to maintain high levels of customer care and the smooth running of the Courtyard at all times.

  • Ensure regular training for all staff in health and safety and fire procedures.

  • To ensure the Courtyard is always clean and presentable

  • To assist the Assistant Courtyard Manager to create daily show reports, sales figures reports and document any issues or complaints from the public

  • To undertake general stock control and reporting including organising, counting, and ordering stock

    This is a key role in the organisation, calling for a person who can deputise for the Courtyard Bar & Kitchen in the absence of the Manger and occasionally for the theatre. Duties are wide and varied and require a person with excellent organisational and communication skills. It requires a resilient individual who can both serve others and act on her/his own initiative, using common sense and discretion, while working to tight deadlines and the highest standards., · Good organisational skills

    The Royal Court Theatre is a theatre located at 1 Roe Street in Liverpool, England. The current Royal Court Theatre was opened on 17 October 1938. The current capacity is 1,186 (Stalls 290, Circle 403, Balcony 493). The theatre has produced more than 100 shows since 2007. Our unique theatre kitchen has been providing great food for our audience for over 20 years. The Courtyard is our sister venue catering for up to 50 diners on an à la carte menu.

    · Contract: Permanent, full-time

    · Salary: £26,000 per annum depending on experience

    · Annual Leave: 28 days per year inclusive of bank holidays
