Are you an experienced educational professional looking for a leadership role in a secondary school setting? Our secondary school in Merton is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy SENCo to support and enhance our SEND provision. About the Role: As Deputy SENCo, you will play a vital role in coordinating and developing the school's SEND provision, working closely with the SENCo, teachers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for our students.,
- Assist the SENCo in managing and implementing SEND provision across the school.
- Oversee the creation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide guidance and training to staff on effective SEND strategies.
- Monitor the impact of SEND interventions and suggest improvements as needed.
- Act as a liaison between parents, staff, and external professionals to ensure the needs of students are met.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong understanding of SEND legislation and practice. - Experience as a SENCo or Deputy SENCo, ideally within a secondary school setting.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
