Do you have a passion for history, geography, or citizenship? A fantastic SEN school in Wandsworth is seeking a Humanities Teacher to inspire learners with special educational needs. Make history come alive and foster a love for learning in your students! Role Overview: As a Humanities Teacher, you will deliver exciting and accessible lessons that ignite curiosity and build knowledge among students aged 11-16 with additional needs.,
- Plan and teach engaging lessons across humanities subjects, adapting content to individual abilities.
- Use creative methods to connect students to real-world topics and historical events.
- Collaborate with TAs and SENCO to ensure lessons align with EHCP targets.
- Monitor and assess student progress, tailoring approaches to maximize outcomes.
- Promote inclusion, respect, and diversity in all aspects of teaching.
QTS with a humanities specialism (History, Geography, or similar). - Experience working with SEND students is a bonus but not essential.
- A creative and flexible approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
