Do you have a passion for humanities and a desire to inspire students with special educational needs? Our specialist school in Hounslow is seeking an innovative Humanities Teacher who is eager to develop engaging lessons for students with a variety of SEND, helping them explore history, geography, and social studies in an inclusive, supportive environment. Role Overview: As a Humanities Teacher in a specialist school, you will help students engage with the core subjects of history, geography, and social studies in ways that are tailored to their individual needs. You will create personalized learning pathways to ensure that students are both academically challenged and fully supported in their studies.,

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated humanities lessons that meet the learning needs of students with SEND.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to ensure students can fully participate in class activities.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals and parents.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and their families.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued and supported.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching humanities, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Creativity and a passion for making the humanities subjects accessible and exciting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong commitment to supporting students' academic and personal growth.
